Honourable Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Ashok Panda and Smt Panda visited Shri Nilamadhav Temple for Darshan and laid foundation stone for construction of a New Interpretation Centre at an estimated cost of Rs. 1 crore. This Interpretation centre will depict the " story of Sabara Raja Biswabashu" and origin of Lord Jagannath- Shri Nilamadhava Temple as the Adiptha in the interest of our state and devotees. In addition to this centre a new Endowment (Debottar) Office will be constructed.

The state government have been demanding to provide food grains as per actual demand of the people but no confirmation has been given the Central Government yet. In protest the Biju Janata Dal in presence of all elected representatives and common people sat on a dharna and gave a memorandum to the District Collector addressed to the Honourable President of India to ensure food security for our people.
